I think I recall something made by Kodak, (instead of photographing a colour target) where one could contact print it onto 4x5 film. Does anything like I describe exist out there?

Kodak sold a Filter Finder that included a 4x5 negative (IIRC) I will look in my darkroom see what I can find. The Unicolor Unicube is another, involved subject holding a gray card etc etc.
The photo shop (now closed) had a lady master printer, she was the best I've ever seen for getting color right printing color negatives.
I'm assuming you want to contact print it on black and white film to see how color translates on your film tests? You could use any IT8 transparency profiling test target if that is your purpose. If you are going to use it for what I think you are then don't forget about the color temperature of the light source.
