I'm having trouble getting reds. I thought I'd solved the problem by purchasing ColorPerfect but apparently not. This is an exmple of what I mean. This is my routine with my Epson V700, Vuescan and Colorperfect.
Help me, Please!

Hi

well, I found that I get better results with my workflow (here). I have tried vuescan a few times (starting in version 7 or so) with a number of scanners and found it difficult for me to get as good a result, I also had similar issues with Colour Neg (or negpos or what ever its current name is).

For instance, an example using my workflow (here, where I have 120 6x12 scanned and compared to my digital image {taken as my exposure guide}).

Particularly with 35mm strips on an Espon flatbed once set I can clone that section and paste it over the rest of the images I wish to scan (as per here). That way all frames of the film are processed the same way

hope that helps

Thanks for your help. I'd come across your workflow and gave it a go and got a good result but the workflow with ColorPerfect is very much quicker for me. I sorted out my reds problem. I'd fallen into a routine of converting the colour profile of my file which caused ColorPerfect to throw a fit and spit out duff colours. All's well now.
Thanks again
Pete
