Can anybody in Australia recommend a good supplier (online is okay) of E6 and C41 processing kits, please? I used to use the Agfa 500 ml kits, but they are sadly gone. Vanbar here in Melbourne sell a Tetenal 1 litre E6 kit, but are presently out-of-stock of the Tetenal C41 kits, and they are spectacularly unhelpful with ordering anything.

Kevin, I bought the last of their C41 kits for a class I was teaching, sorry about that.

Perhaps you could try Madsens in NSW

www.darkroomshop.com.au

They pretty much have everything last time I was looking and purchasing off of them.

Mick.

I went through the exercise of trying to buy C-41 kits recently - either Agfa or Kodak. None to be had at any price in Australia. I finished up ordering component chemicals from JDPhotochem in Canada with shipping by sea and mixing my own solutions. They work OK, too and are quite inexpensive compared with kits - even after including freight charges. If you search in the C-41 forum you will find the formulae and costing I use.

Could also try Newdark in Newcastle

If anyone is interested I have a heaps of the AGFA kits, I use them occasionally for one shot experiments alternate processing tests.

Hey, many thanks all, for the replies so far, especially Steve for the offer of some E6 chemistry. Will reply in more detail tomorrow.

Just to follow up, I rang Newdark and Madsen's. Newdark said that if I was really stuck they may be able to import something for me. The guy was a bit reluctant to do it though as he lost money last time he imported colour chemistry. Madsen's sound promising. They have both E6 and C41 kits available, not always in stock, but only a week or so to wait when ordered as their supplier is in Sydney I think. Thanks again all for your help. Pete, even though I have a Ph.D. in chemistry, I don't want to have to mix my own chemistry, but thanks for the information. Mick, I do still have a couple of Agfa C41 and E6 kits, so you don't need to apologise for buying the last ones. Steve, thanks for your PMed offer.
