Hi Guys-

I was wondering if anyone has used Colortek recently for E-6 processing. How is their quality? I've just taken interested in E-6 again and would like to keep the processing somewhat local. I know that they used to advertise that they were part of the Kodak Q-Lab system, but I am sure that is gone now with Kodak being out of E-6.

Colortek is a lab in Boston, Mass...I thought about that after posting the thread...probably should have put Colortek Lab in the title! Sorry

The last time I used them was for some 4x5 C-41 sheets, and they came back with processing bubbles. This was a few years ago. I've had better luck with Color Services in Needham, though mostly these days I send to Praus for color.

I thought I heard this from someone else here about E-6, which is why I asked. Perhaps I'll think about Color Services

hi patrick

i haven't used colortek in years to be honest i didn't even know they were still in business!
( i used to go to spectrum, had friends who worked there ... but they are long gone too )

you might look into dorian labs in arlington on i believe it is mill street.

while haven't ever used them, from all reports old ( in the 1990s ) and new
they are the real deal -- a pleasure to work with and do spectacular work.
if you don't have a car, bike, / ride i think it is the arlington bus ( mass ave )
that will let you off on/near the corner of mass ave + mill street or the next street down. ( its near arlington center )
if you get to the chevrolet dealership, blue ribbon bbq, sanford camera and motorcycle shop you have gone to far .

have fun !
john

I think they are across from south station...(if that is them) and I had problems with their processing as well.

Thanks for the tips guys!
