I am thinking to get a list of Leitz , Zeiss lenses color output list matched with input list.

I think I need someone have a variable frequency , power light source and a sensitive ccd.

I am in this research to do this for few canon , nikon lenses and match them with Leitz and Zeiss in image editing plug in.

As you know there are softwares mimic Kodak , Fuji etc . films and I want same for these lenses.

Who do or did such tests without need of breaking the bank ?

Thank you ,

Mustafa, BTW, search "soft focus effect" / "soft focus filter" or "soft focus glow effect" and such if that's what you're after. Maybe what you're "actually" looking for can be done with few simple tricks instead of a >= doctorate level research and development project. (I presume you need at least a high level math, signal processing and optics knowledge to achieve that - not even mentioning software side of the job...)

First couple of (simple) results I was able to find:
http://photoshopgirl.com/09/02/soft-focus-effect/
http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-effects/soft-focus/

There could be thousands of ways of achieving similar results, and remember you can fine tune the effects by playing with parameters provided by the program (blending modes, opacity, filter application radius ect. ect. ... whatnot)

Good morning Loris ,

No , I am not after aberrations , it is highly complicated matter and I gave 2 years for research and not learned too much.
I am after colors
input 1
output 3
input 2
output 4....

I am after such a input , output colors list.
Zeiss have a archive which can send lens design drawings but generally they are too old and it is not possible to find exact glass at zemax lens design and analysis software.
When you go Leica , things are more complicated , because there is no archive open to public.
Canon , Nikon is even harder.

So there is one way remaining , it is to find the color list by robot.
Is there such a machine for this purpose ?

Best ,

Umut

Maybe these can help: DxO Color Rendition Profiles. (At least in the matching film look department...)

I don't think that kind of (lens) profiling is needed or critical in case of color negative shooting...

I think "you're swimming against the flow". (A Turkish idiom.)

Loris , bombayi patlatmak derler ya , benim zavalli derdim de bu olsa gerek
I am trying to catch the big fish , I think.
Bilkent ten cok onemli mail bekliyorum , teorim tutarsa dunya benim olacak.
I am waiting an answer from major Turkish university , if they approve my theory , the world is mine.

Best
Umut
