Hello forum, this is my first post here.

I recently got my hands on a Scanview Scanmate F8plus and the Color Quartet 5.3.1 software for Mac OSX. It runs like a charm with color positive film, but I am not sure how to make good results from BW negative films. The option "Negative" in the scan setup, is not available when I choose greyscale.

Of course I could scan in color mode, but when you scan in negative mode I think I am forced to choose a emulsion or a profile that totally f*** up the result. Am I missing something here? I cant find anything in the manual. Any of you familiar with this software?

Or should I scan it as a BW positive and invert in ex. Photoshop?
