Hi all,
I'm new on this forum because I have a specific question: I had for several years a Nikon Coolscan V that I used to scan my analogue archive of 6000 slides and negatives. My workflow was scanning in 48 bits TIFF with SilverFast SE software and post processing in Photoshop to decent JPEGs. The results outperfomed all my old prints... Last year I decided to sell my Coolscan (for more than I bought new...) but sometimes I like use the supurb Ektar 100 film on my old analogue stuff that I want to digitize.
So I took my Pentax K-01, screw my 100 mm macro on it, use the sweetspot of the lens at F8, low ISO and manage to make tack sharp images at 16 Mp in RAW. I know how to reverse the image and remove the orange mask in PS, but two variables I would like to optimize: What light source (K?) I should use best and at what Color Temp should I devellop the RAW in Camera RAW? I now use the Philips Tornado Cool White light source (6500K 81CRI) to reduce the orange mask a bit but my results are still not as good as it should be.
Does anyone has experiences or tips in this?
Thnx
Henrico
