Hi All-

I noticed some sad news today for those of us in the Greater Boston and New England area. It appears that Color Services has shut their doors. They did excellent work for me. Always timely, clean E-6 processing. It is sad to no longer have the option of going to a lab in person as it was always a neat place to be in. I don't have any information as to why and certainly don't wish to speculate, but thought I would share in case anyone was about to mail them film/drive some in.

hi pat !

are you still in boston or traveling up from FR to deliver your film ?
colortek ( dowtown near south station ) is still around and i think imagemakers in pawtucket is still there ...
imagemakers i dont' think will process anything bigger than 35mm.
if you get to the other side of the city, dorian color lab is in arlington on mill street
and i have only heard great things about them ... ( i don't know if they still process film though )

I used to use Dorian when I was shooting E6 for a living, always great folks there. Hopefully they are still processing film.

Sorry to hear the sad news.....
I found myself having changed 3 times over the last several years with closing businesses. The first location was on my way back from most photo outings too. Thankfully I found a very solid processor with North Coast Photo here in So Cal.......

Dorian stopped processing color film (C-41 and E-6) in mid-2016.

bummer ...
hopefully colortek's website is up to date and they still process film !

You mean ColorWreck? Hope all is well John! I don't really shoot much color these days. I have used Imagemakers before and had a good experience with them. The last I knew they were able to do 120 as well.

Not to be opportunistic but I just opened a lab in Portland Maine. I can do C41, E6, and B&W up to 4x5.

That's too bad about Dorian - they had a nice setup there, top quality service.

I do all my own now anyway (using a phototherm SSK-4).
