Hello there,
Wikipedia states:
Color photography is photography that uses media capable of representing colors, which are produced chemically during the photographic processing phase. It is contrasted with black-and-white photography, which uses media capable only of showing shades of gray, and does not include hand colored photographs. Some examples of color photography include prints, color negatives, transparencies and slides, and roll and sheet films.
I think a sub forum is needed to discuss, share and refresh ideas of what is color photography. With a new Color magazine dedicated to the medium. I would like to invite everyone who enjoys color photography includes those who hand color prints. I would also include Polaroids and Fuji color film.
Lets have discussions on photographers who have worked or are currently doing color photography. Eliot Porter, Charles Cramer, Christopher Burkett, Jack Dykinga, Cole Weston and yes, we can talk about those monotone greats Ansel Adams and Edward Weston.
Lets get set to talk about CMY or RGB, Trans, slides and negs. Rolls and sheet film!
Look for the CMYK logo in the Group section.
Thanks
