Hi all,

I am having my Durst L1200 enlarger fixed.

The projection head was a bit wobbling side ways. After removing the counter balanced spring, I found the problem. One of the rollers that hold the column in place had been broken by the former owner.
Would anyone have one of those rollers laying around by any chance?

Your input would be much appreciated,

Andre

Visually it looks as though you should be able to press the old bearing race out and replace it with a new bearing. Measure the Outside and inside diameters carefully (one of the intact ones might be best for the inside) as well as the width. A local bearing house should have a replacement.

Good luck!

Thank you very much Neal, I guess that this will be my best option since finding a new roller or from parts is almost impossible. The roller is cracked from the center but with a new bearing, it will be very good.

Thank you K
There's a few sellers on eBay who part out Durst enlargers. You might try your luck with any of them.

Thank you very much Koraks

I was finally able to replace the bearing inside like Neal first suggested. It cost 3$ to buy the bearing and replace. It did take much longer to figure out how to remove the roller retainer.
Once you know how, it's quite easy. Now it's running perfectly. I will however make sure that alignment is ok...
