Cold weather developer thoughts

I asked a question a while back about cold temperature developers. It's cold again and I did a search, and whatta ya know, a New York Times article form the 1890's, when para-amidophenol (sic) was too new to comment on in this regard:

Interesting article. Worth reading if for no other reason than "It's English but not quite as we know it, Jim". The style of writing has changed much more than I had imagined. More gracious and polite, reflecting a society that wasn't "in your face" the way we are today.

Very interesting, I've never thought of looking in the NY Times for a developer formula.
