I am thinking of getting an 8x10 Beseler- I have a 4x5 condenser Beseler,

and it would only take a conversion.

Question: can one do decent 6x9 and 4x5 work on an 8x10 cold light Beseler, or should I hang on to the condenser as well?

Thanks

Herb

Herb,

Hang onto the condenser. The coldlight works well with 2 1/4" negs and up, the condenser works well with 4x5 negs and down. Better yet, get another Beseler and have one condenser and one coldlight. Having to change the lamp housings is a pain.
