Hi everyone,

I’m wondering what is the difference between the Cokin a160 and b160 polarising filters?
As far as I know they’re both linear but is there anything else (probably yes)?

No, 160 was linear.

Today they got 164, which is circular.

I assume "A" and "B" are indicators for the size of the holder.
In the beginning there only was one holder size. I think once there were 2. Meanwhile they got 4 (S,M,L,XL)

Will the linear type cause exposure errors in TTL systems that do not use partially silvered mirrors, such as the Minolta SRT series?

I have a Cokin 160 and was playing with it, getting weird bifraction effects looking at my computer monitors, wondering if it was of any use at all?

Seems pretty useless if you have to guess at an exposure correction...

No.
