Coating paper

Has anyone tried coating paper for cyanotype/at gyro type with an air brush? I use a normal brush but find it very easy to pick up surface fibres which spoil a finished print.

That should read argyrotype - auto-correct is not my friend!

I use a sponge or coating rods but I'm not very good at it. I call it "auto-incorrect".

Overspray would be a problem, and you wouldn't want to particles in your eyes or lungs.
