Minolta X-700 Users - Show Yourselves. Who are you all. This is a great camera. 'Great camera though so sad not too many films left alive to feed it to, enjoy it with. These days I feed it mainly Pan F Plus, sometimes Delta 100.

I got my X-700 almost a year ago and love it. I may have to find an X-570 (?) as a second body, though. T- Max 100 is wonderful with the Rokkor glass. Trying some Pan F+ at the moment.

I bought 2 X-700's for a trip to Europe in 1984 and still use them. Both had the dreaded capacitor failure but were easily fixed at home.

Well I like my X-700 but I'd prefer just a simple ON or OFF switch.

I have six X-700s. I like the bright finder, interchangeable (hard to find) screens, excellent TTL flash system, Motor, Winder, data back. The exposure lock is not comfortable to use but does work. The Minolta lenses, old and new, fast and slow, all look bright through the X-700's finder. I shoot more color print film than anything else with them because I use a 360PX or 280PX indoors at family events.

Do you by any chance have an XK? I've allways wanted to try one with the waiste-level finder, like 'shooten with a medium format but only a 35mm...

I have XK, XD and the three from X series. Both X700s are working well, one has light leak but I can fix it. I like X700 more than X570 because I can adjust EV faster, with Motordrive, it comes with me everywhere I go.

My buddy bought it with the MD 50mm f1.4 for $265 in 1984 and may have run a few rolls through before putting it away. He gave it to me with the original box and receipt and a partially used roll still in it that I finished off and had developed. The X-700 is the lightest and most modern of the bunch with TTL flash.

I bought my x-570 from my father-in-law's estate and have come to love it. A year ago a friend gave me his gently used x-700. Last fall I received a new-in-box x-370. I've only had the chance to put one roll each through the x-700 and x-370, but on my next vacation I plan to give them a workout.
