I know potassium metabisulfite is normally used for clearing dichromate stain, does anyone know if sodium metabisulfite can be used? Are there any other chemicals that can be used for clearing?

Thanks,

Thanks,

I've used the sodium variety to clear gum prints. There was a discussion about dichromate clearing agents maybe 2-3 months ago on the alternative process list IIRC. The thread should be in the archives.

Thanks Joe, the sodium variety is much easier to get here in the UK as it's used in homebrewing!
