Being new to the 4x5 format (moving up from 135 and 120), I wanted to try some Polaroids for quick results. I've been playing around with the 690 film in my 405 back and got a shot I'd like to keep. The only thing that concerns me is the chemical goo left behind. What does one use to clean this off if the image is worth keeping? Thanks in advance.
Chris
You shouldn't be getting goo left behind. I would take a look at your rollers. Dirty, gunked-up rollers can cause the chemicals to spread unevenly and leave gunk on the print. You can clean the rollers with a damp paper towl. As for cleaning the goo off the print, I would try a good emulsion cleaner like PEC-12.

Mark,
I had cleaned the holder before using it, but found the goo was attributed to uneven removal from the film holder. Problem solved. Thanks for the reply.
