Picked up several old, hard rubber and plastic or bakelite developing tanks...Can I wash these using regular dish soap as long as they are rinsed well? Or is there a better method?

Do not use chlorine bleach on hard rubber articles.

A soaking in a warm 2% solution of sodium carbonate + 2% sodium sulfite solution may be helpful loosening encrusted material.

These were actually in pretty good shape. Just basic household dirt from being stored in a basement. I just didn't want to contaminate them with the wrong thing.
