I use plastic light diffuser for my drying screens, 1/2" x 1/2" x1/2". what's the best way to wash these?

I am using fiberglass screens which are a bit different. But what I do is take a soft brush with dish soap and scrub both sides. Then I hose them off outside and let them dry in a clean place preferably with the sun shining on them. I don't do this under Chicago winters!

Step one is to keep your drying racks clean and uncontaminated. Use them only for drying well-washed prints and you'll only have the need to rinse them off with water occasionally to get rid of a little dust.

If you suspect fixer contamination, then a weak solution of chlorine bleach (maybe with a bit of detergent to facilitate absorbtion) will serve to neutralize the fixer. Follow this by a copious rinse in fresh water (I run the hose on mine outdoors as chgofrank does).

Best,

Doremus
