This lens is beautiful and rare. It is 100 %. Gorgeous. 24" f8 Serial no. is late 1860's
This sixth series is described in the Dead Link Removed You can read about it on page 9. The only difference between the 4rth serie and the 6th serie is speed. That makes these slightly slower lenses much more adaptable to field use, where the same lens in the Ultra Rapid 4rth series were relegated to Studio work.
This lens can be used up to 17X20. So it's a true ULF lens usable on a modern 16X20 camera. 12X20 is easy with it. AND it has the legendary roundness of a fine aplanat. Cake and eat it too.
Flange area is 5.5 inches, so it's perfect on a 6X6 lens board. It's not quite 6" long. Compact for it's coverage, and it's unique "look" or personality, as it were. I'll share some images in a 2nd post made with an identical lens I had 6 years ago. I haven't used this one.
Anything fine, and rare, is going to require a price. I don't need to explain supply and demand to you folks. Price is $1325.00 and shipping needs to be suitable. Insurance, etc.
