I was in the one and only Target yesterday when I came across the following. In the picture frame section they had a million different frames with this shot in it. "Nikon F blackout with well placed shooting finger" is my guess at the title of the shot. Anyone else?
I have to admit I was glad to see the camera, but it's too bad they covered up the logo and didn't care for accuracy! At least they could have left the "F" visible...
I saw that same item a couple of months ago and mentioned to my wife who was unimpressed that I could recognize an unmarked Nikon. I missed the fact that the model is not actually using the shutter button, however.
I get it...That's the NEW Nikon F...The one that's sterile, and has the new feature, that no-matter where you push on the camera, the shutter will release...
I often get amused (and sometimes annoyed) when an advertising photo has a glaring inaccuracy - for example, I often see photos of someone holding a fishing rod with the reel in the wrong position.
But this is even worse, since presumably a professional photographer took the photo.
Since it is not a Nikon (see above), speculations about putting the finger in the wrong place are just that: speculations.
And because presumably a professional photographer directed the shot, we can indeed assume that it is in the right place.
Saw an ad on TV the other night and a lady was using a Hasselblad to snap shoot the kids out doors. Probably all fuzzy-wuzzy because she was using the film advance to focus.
