Good news to hear you dad and his website are back.
Regards to your dad, and tell him thanks.
RE: my "guerilla" action; the new blog appears to be run by a couple of middle-school girls. It's actually sort of charming, when you don't consider the damage they've done, perhaps unknowingly. If you decide to comment, please be as gentle as possible. One of their posts shows their photographs (which IMO are rather good). That might be the best place for comments and (I hope) gentle rebukes. I've already posted this, as a comment on their entry called photo-SHOE-t:
"These are pretty good photographs, but, if you love photography, why on earth did you hijack an established and valued photography website? Perhaps you did this unknowingly and arent aware of the damage youve caused? If so, have a look at this thread, on APUG, the Analog Photography Users Group; especially the last few entries:

I have a E6 XL with Omegalite lamphouse (with my LED conversion) that really should have a glass neg carrier with anti-newton glass on the top. This is the model that uses a portrait orientation of the negative, rather than a landscape orientation. Also the power-focus motor has gone bye-bye and I've not found a replacement, but if he can repair it I'd be delighted. I've built a manual device that allows me to reach the focus knob while looking into the grain-focuser, but it's really a workaround. I've already emailed Harry some time ago about this and he offered his version of a solution, which I had some reservations about and decided to make my own.
The two girls whose website had inadvertently displaced Harry's sent me this email [they had my email address because I posted a comment on their blog]. There's a link to an apology video they posted:
"We are so sorry for the confusion and thank you for informing us of the Web page issues. Here we have an apology video to clear things up if you'd like to see it.

IMO it was super responsible of these two kids to investigate the problem and apologize.

I just noticed that Harry Taylor's website is down again :-(

I don't think so, but I wish it was.Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but is the Ask Harry help forum archived anywhere? It was a valuable resource, even if there is no new material added to it.
