Classic Camera Magazine Fred and Stephanie Marriott

Some years ago at a local auction I was successful bidder (actually only bidder!) on a set of A5 format publications called 'Classic Camera Magazine'. The set, such as it is, runs from number 1 to number 35 with only number 23 missing. Number 1 was dated 1988 and the magazine was published in black and white by Fred and Stephanie Marriott of Brighouse, Yorkshire, with the last volume I have (35) being published in 1999.

The content consisted of articles about both still and cine cameras and other equipment, as well as including period adverts for old items, sometimes as stand-alone pages not related to the text. There were no contemporary adverts in the magazines, though some of my copies do include inserts of stock the Marriotts had for sale.

This raises a couple of questions: firstly, does anyone know anything about the Marriotts or their magazine. Secondly, did the series end at 35? Thirdly, if anyone has a copy of Number 23, would they be willing to scan it for me (happy to cover any costs)?

The magazines are a very useful source of information and well worth looking out for.

They ran a camera shop in Hornsea, in east Yorkshire. Stephanie Marriott died in 2010, and their website is gone, so I don't know if Fred M is still with us. The website is archived at Internet Archive:

Thanks for the quick reply. The webpages you've linked to suggest that not much activity has taken place since about 2020. From my limited experience with making and uploading webpages, the hassles involved with getting the things up there/out there are only matched by the hassles of trying to get them off again, so though I've sent a message to the email address given, it's more in hope than anticipation.
