Hi,
I'm new to this forum and to collecting large format old cameras. A suggestion was made on my first post to put a listing here of suggested lens techs who work on old shutters.

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Two shutters were sent to flcamerarepair and they may be done soon. I'm on a waiting list for another place. A third is listed in the above link. Gotta move details here...

flcamerarepair: the fix on a Unicum shutter didn't last. When I opened it up, it had grease on it and dust. The blades were a little bent as a result of being in the sun on display; the blades were discolored where the sun hit them and they bulged. It would rub on the iris and get stuck. The tech said there were no low speeds. HA.

I polished the grease off, flipped them and swapped them with each other and now all speeds work. No, I won't thank him because I paid HIM to do the work. But, now I can do better. And I know better.
