Have had a Nikon F3 for years now and recently dropped it on the lens. Thankfully I had a lens hood that took the blunt of the fall but I think it put the camera out of whack. Anyone recommend a place for CLA? thanks
I won't use Nikon USA for anything. Note my post said NikonUSA, approved Nikon repair centers. Forget which one or two I have used but they repair just anything Nikon, film, digital, lenses, etc. Prices are about the same as independent shops in my experience. https://www.service-center-locator.com/nikon/nikon-service-center.htm
The list is very old, Phoenix Camera Repair has been gone for many years. CRIS is still in business and will on most digital brands, Nikon, Sony, Canon and I think Pentax, my last call a few years ago the customer service rep told me they no longer work on film bodies due to a lack of parts. In my neck of the woods Tempe camera will CLA a film camera, but not fix a film camera, again lack of parts.

I've had good service recently from APS Authorized Photo Service, they used to be the Mid-West NPS repair facility until NPS consolidated to Torrance and NY, so very likely they have what is needed and the skill to do the F3 properly.
What an odd coincidence. I dropped my Nikon F3 about three feet on to pavement yesterday. Luckily, it landed on the lens cap. The impact jammed the lens cap into the UV filter and broke the filter glass. After I got the cap unjammed, I removed what was left of the filter and the broken glass. The camera seems fine. What could be out of whack?
