Hi,
I've bought a Konica Pearl III (645), but unfortunately the shutter is sticky, ie it often doesn't fire and sometimes stays open. It has a Seikosha MX shutter with helical unit focusing.
I can return it but I do like the camera so I am considering sending it for a CLA. I've never had one done, so I am wondering:
Thanks!
Gijsbert
PS Here is a picture of the camera:
And one for size reference:
Btw I love the GA645wi, the grip feels great and it's easy to use in landscape (ie rotated), the Pearl is almost too small in usage, but it takes a lot less space in bags!

- what ballpark cost would a shutter CLA be (assuming nothing is broken and the shutter just needs cleaning)?
- do I need to find a repair person specifically for these cameras or could any repair shop do it?
- do you have any suggestions who I could contact in north america (I'm in Montreal)?
Thanks!
