CIS for Epson 1400

Hello all - This is probably a redundant question, but are any of these cis systems really any good? I'm starting a project that will involve printing lots of 5x7 greeting cards and while I want to maintain good quality, I don't want to go broke on ink costs. I'm considering the Ink Republic model which I think I've seen mentioned here, but I'm wondering about the much cheaper ones I see on ebay. I'm only interested in saving money, not skimping on quality, so if the OEM ink is the best way, then so be it.

you might want to check out Jon Cone's color pigment inks for the 1400:

The refillable cartridges he sells with auto-reset chips are very nice, too.
