Stumbled onto this last night. Ok, I was bored

I had the subtitles on this video and when the presenter meets the bearded gent who opens a double door and with a mean expression asks him to take the camera out of his face, the presenter then asks him what his favourite phone camera is or at least the subtitles use the phrase phone camera and it certainly sounded like "phone" The answer received was the Leica M3 which as far as I know isn't a phone camera so the gent who was supposed to be surprised by being accosted and having that question thrown at him that surely must have heard the word "phone" but was ready to nominate a film camera???? Perhaps they were all drilled to expect to be accosted with the same question and the random nature of the encounters was "pure Hollywood" but if rehearsed why keep the word "phone" in the question before releasing the video?

Any explanation for this strange conversation?

Yes I have listened to it about 5 times now and the word film here is not pronounced as clearly as it is on other occasions. Maybe he is pretending to be a little taken aback by the interviewee's aggression so his immediate words that follow are affected by this

My British ears may not help I recall many years ago watching a film in 1966 called "An American Dream " where Stuart Whitman plays a ex-Korean war hero Stephen Rojack who has conversations with the public who call into his show. I was convinced he was introducing himself to each caller as Rojacqueline which I thought was his first name but it did sound strange. It turned out he was saying "Rojack on the line" and my hearing was excellent in the 60s
