I just got an email from Freestyle about this new developer. It looks intersting, but before I buy some I thought I'd ask if anyone has used it yet.

So, a two bath C-41. Does it look like a good idea?

It looks like it's the Arista kit just rebranded. I personally have noticed no quality difference between the cheaper and more expensive kits. I might get try one as it's only a couple bucks more than the Unicolor but it's liquid and therefore easier to mix.

I ordered a kit along with a couple of rolls of film directly from CineStill about a month ago.....
I've yet to see anything other than an order acknowledgement

Another Arista/Cinestill kit user here -- didn't notice a difference between the two. The instructions are much more pleasantly presented in the Cinestill kit.

The upcomming of cinestill developer kits is a result of the selling cinestill films.
There are a lot of manufacturers of c41 chems today - but the raw stuff is coming mostly from Fuji and Kodak so there should be no need to buy the films and the chems both from cinestill.

with regards
