I think I know two technics not more , first, cinema technic , use a wide angle lens , crop middle of it and screen. Second technic is ours , use narrower lens but bigger frame.

Greeg Toland and Orson Welles used first , they shot film on 35mm film with 24mm Cooke lens and cropped the middle of frame for smaller frame. I can do Orson Welles frames with 35x24 frame with 40mm lens.

Which is better technology , Cinema or Photography ?

I saw countless times , wide angle center resolution is higher than other lenses. But when you think my above question , which is better ? I am feeling cine guys are more intelligent ?
