My photo class has some ciba chemicals and paper that were never opened.
i might be able to to have them and was wondering how long does the paper\chems last. this kit was never opened, actually theres 2. its about 5-10 years old. would i still be good if completley sealed?
The chemicals: the powders will probably be OK, but unfortunately the fixer usually came in liquid form even in the powder kit. You may give it a try, but most probably the fixer will be so and so.
As all photosensitive materials, Cibachrome paper is subject to fogging when it ages and since it is a colour paper, different colour layes might have aged in different ways (resulting to colour shift).
Cibachrome surely demands a special bleach (to remove unwanted dyes), I don't know whether it would work with RA-4 developer though...
