Chemistry:

Stablizer-Stock:

20% (w/V) NH4SCN
5% (w/V) Na2S2O5
6.5% (w/V) AcOH

Activator-Stock:

10% (w/V) KOH
10% (w/V) Na2SO3

Developer-Stock:

25% (w/V) K2CO3
10% (w/V) Ascorbic acid
10% (w/V) Na2SO3
5% (w/V) Triethanolamine

all with H2O

Dilutions:

20% (V/V) Activator
20% (V/V) Stabilizer
50% (V/V) Developer

Paper: "KODABROME II RC Paper Semi-Matt" 24 x 30 cm

Technique:

a) Developing of this picture was done either with a brush or in a tray.
b) Activator, Stabillizer and Devoloper where applied with a synthetic brush, because natural fibers where attacked from the solutions.
c) For the effects I played with the different solutions @ the photographic paper....

Results:

Little addendum:
Three pictures, which were made with "a little bit of digital content" (digital negative for the background image) can be seen @ this thread: http://illumina-chemie.de/chemigrams-and-co-t4590.html#71699

I love the coloring you got going on in these. I doubt we'll ever achieve the colors that could be made with Kodak Products though. I'm curious as to how you are achieving the marbling effect. I attempted something like it, floating chemicals like they were ink, dye, etc. They came out, okay but def. not what I expected.

In short:

Made a mixture of Xanthan-Gum* with water and used it as layer like the wallpaper paste in paper marbling with acrylics. Dyed** the developer and the fixer, to see what I am doing and with a pipette or syringe (with needle) made lines of that two chemicals in that layer and with a tooth pick I go through to get the pattern.

*= the gum has to be resistant against alkaline pH from the developer

**=
a) Dye should not stain the gelatin layer of the photo paper
b) Dye should not react with developer or fixer chemistry
Tested:
Tatrazine in Dektol
Erioglaucine in Fixer (ROLLEI RXN Fix Neutral)
Lissamine Green in Mixture of Developer, Activator and Stabilizer

All three worked....New Coccine in Fixer (RXN) first red, than yellow ----> worked not....

This made the bird like white and black pattern.....

For the "landscapes":
-Thickened Stabilizer, Activator and Dektol with Xanthan-Gum (small amounts)
-Covered photo paper with a layer of Xanthan-Gum solution and
- used a brush with nylon fibers, because it has to be resistant against the developer for trying to paint......until I was more or less satisfied with the results....
- Fixer
- than wash and drying...

These are great! Interesting technique.

I particularly like the second and the fifth examples... I think that the combination of warm and cool colors is effective. The combination of different patterns in the second image make it interesting. The movement in the fifth image is particularly evocative.

Thanks for sharing!

Short update:

Until now it seems that blue is the preferred color with this technique and RA-4 color paper....only sporadically got different colors. The other issue is the concentration of the color developers (RA-4, E-6 and C-41) I try to play with it...but to get it right is difficult. Additionally I am experimenting with different techniques....

Here are the pictures:
