Chromega Dichro D II infomation

So I just bought a Chromega Super Dichro D II color head without a manual and I'd like to know if anyone can answer a couple questions.

1. What is the purpose of the white toggle switch next to the filter dial wheels on the bottom of the housing?

2. There are four screw holes where it looks like something should be mounted, but isn't. These holes are at the four corners of the bottom most surface of the color head... right where the felt pad sits. I covered them with black electrician's tape as they were projecting light outside the enlarger.

3. The head can be set for "white", "Low" and "High"---- can someone describe uses for these settings, as it isn't obvious to me?

4. Does anyone have a manual you could copy for me... or know where I can get one?

Well I may be able help just a little bit.

1. The toogle switch on the lamp housing is for turning on/off the light for the dichro filter settings. It just allows you to see the settings in the dark with a light backlighting the dichro settings. When printing colour I learned to turn it off after a few mysterious brown streaks
2. This I have no clue. Maybe some with more wisdom can answer this.
3. The high and low settings are for the output intensity from the head. The white setting pops the dichro filters out of the way of the light path to allow just light from the lamp to flow.
4. Manual, Hmm, I never got one with mine either.

They would have manuals for sale. If when you phone to order the manual you ask about the head odds are they'll answer the other questions -)

Well I was going to reply but you have gotten all the answers. I have the same enlarger and I really like it for black and white printng

Thanks everyone.
It looks like there's a 1/8 " slot for an ND filter or piece of plexi that could be used to diffuse/reduce the light further, if wanted.

My head only came with one of the longer mounting rods (I converted from a D2 head). It cost me a trip to Home Depot and $2 worth of 3/8" alum rod to fix that. That and 3 cents worth of electrician's tape to close the light leaks and I'm ready to print.

Mine also came with a stabilizer that plugs right into the power supply... I assume it's reliable and working... no way to tell. I have another Zone VI stabilizer with dry down feature. Does anyone one why the Zone VI wouldn't work on the Chromega?

Screw holes?

Maybe my enlarger doesn't have those screw holes. It doesn't have a felt pad either. It does have a foam gasket which seals against the neg. carrier but I see no holes around that when I look up at the bottom surface of the head. Am I looking in the right spot?

Have you had luck finding a manual or would you like me to send you a copy of mine? (scan or snail mail photocopy? It's 22 pages long and 8x10 so it would be a big file)

PS: the lamp connected to that white toggle switch is listed as a "Bayonet Base Type 656/DC 6W, 120 VAC (cat. no. 471-031)" in the manual. My electronics store had a hard time interpreting those numbers and the bulb they eventually gave me was too long. Then I realized it's a standard sewing machine bulb a swapped it with my Singer's. Did the trick and now I don't have to turn the room lights on to see what filtration I'm at.
