Hi everyone,
I have a Chromega head and unfortunately the filter thumbwheel dials (I’m not even sure if that’s the correct name) don’t turn properly.
When I rotate the knob, the units digit starts moving together with the tens digit.

For example: from 001 to 009 the tens digit also shifts slightly, so it looks like 0012...3....4… .... .... 9.

I hope I’ve explained the issue clearly.

Has anyone else run into this issue?
Does anyone know if there’s a way to repair this?
Or where I could find a replacement part, if that’s even possible?

Thanks

A slight shift is probably nothing as long as you can read it correctly. Mine jiggle a little when I move the dial but the reading is clear. Otherwise a well placed drop of light oil might solve the problem without disassembly.

Good luck!

Pictures would help. Maybe make sure that the mechanism is clean, blow out with gentle compressed air. A drop of a penetratrating oil, but be extremely careful.

The situation is that these are constantly exposed to heat, dust, fumes. I would try gently cleaning and see if that helps, the move to possible lubrication.
