Same here. Looking inside, I can't see that the the L-shaped rod is even connected to anything, on mine. How about yours?

I think I got it. I loosened the screw that's between the 2 screws that hold the ledge in. Then I was able to pull the wheels away from the gears. I left the numbers set at zero but I turned the hand dials all the way to the opposite direction, so that way when I set the wheels back in the numbers are going the right way. I couldn't get it perfect. When I pushed the wheels back in the yellow and magenta wheels got pushed to 999. But it still goes up to 170. But I notice when I have it set to High the numbers only go up to 168.

Mine were not going the wrong way but I needed to adjust because digits were not centered. I loosened the screw and was able to correct them. Play with yours some more and maybe you can get it just right.

I have the manual and it says nothing about loosening the screw between the two knurled screws. Looks like they forgot that step.
