..apparently so...

this came to me today - as a gift..

Hasselblad 500C/M with a 80mm and a 250mm lens
three extra cassettes

Hasselblad SWC/M with the 38mm Biogon..

Extra stuff (filters and so on)

My "problem" is that I don't really use Hasselblad...

But they surely looks pretty!

Wow, you have such a hard life to live, but someone must get that done. I am sure you will find a way to make the best of it.

Failing that, should I send my shipping address to you?

Wow. I guess whoever gifted it expected you to use it. If you genuinely won't use it, and if it was me faced with this dilemma I would be tempted to try and find a good home. How about liaising with a local photog college perhaps make it a prize in some sort of competition. I'd feel pretty mean, myself, if someone gave me something valuable like that in goodwill I didn't really want, and I just stuck it on fleabay.

you're right of course...
I am actually teaching in that sort of school you mention....

The problem is here, I've had three Hasselblad cameras on my school no one survived more than three weeks! It is surpricing how fragile these Hasselblads are.

But I'll of course put it to use - someway or another. Ebay is a no-go.

That's quite a gift! It seems like a good miniature-format complement to your big arsenal; you can use them as your convenient point-and-shoot cameras, for when the circumstances don't justify the effort of taking a "real" camera.

Aww, I've wanted a Hasselblad SWC for so long - I love some of the work I've seen with them.

If you decide it isn't for you, let me know.

it is interesting for sure - I think the way to use it will be somewhat limited, but I am going to try and see....

That's exactly what I asked Santa for this year; he must of sent it to the wrong house.

Nice gift. i'm in the business of teaching too; lend it out to one of your students and make the 'lend'' an assignment. Next time only eccept Rolleiflex SL66 as a gift

Perhaps this is the universe telling you, you should...

If this continues to be a problem, I will pay the shipping for them.

I see this as someone who has Hasselblads, sending them to someone who will make them sing!
