Christmas goodies...what is Santa bringing you?

For those who celebrate Christmas (I realise not everyone does)...
Are you hoping Santa's going to be leaving some film-related gear under your tree this year? If so, what?

I would love an Olympus 35SP to replace the one I sold years ago when funds were very tight, but objectively, I don't need it. A good one is double the price they used to be twelve years ago when I sold mine, and I can't justify the cost.

Realistically, I need nothing I can afford.

Apart from another Tetenal C41 kit, I'm good. A few bottles of chemistry doesn't fit the Christmas spirit somehow, though on second thoughts I did once receive a chemistry set for Christmas. Truth is I don't need anything photography related for Christmas, though if Santa would like to install a custom darkroom in the garage to replace my enlarger and three trays on a shelf, he's welcome down the chimney.

Not sure it will be under the tree, but Santa is bringing me a CLA on my Yashica Mat 124G. I noticed last time out there was a delay in the shutter release button returning, so I figured it might be time. If I get really lucky, the meter might even return to working. Since the camera is in very good shape cosmetically, I'd like it to be up to snuff mechanically. I have been using it quite a bit and rather enjoy it. Think 1982 was the last year they were made, and I doubt it's ever been serviced, so post-CLA as I come up on 77 it should "last me a lifetime!"

I don't need anything other than the usual supplies - film, chemicals, paper, ink, mat board, backing. I order these items on an as needed basis, so I am not expecting anything photographic under the tree.

Santa's camera shooting "self-elf" brought me an upgrade from the Bronica SQ to a Rollei SLX... and I'm hoping the camera holds together in good shape. This sunglassed elf comes with a string in that he both gives the new and takes away the old, the unused and the clutter. No strings as long as I remember to "give me your poor, your unused, your shelf queens longing to be free"..

As for the other elves, they pretty much keep it to the KISS (Keep it Simple Santa) routine and with my return to film shooting, it's a heck of a lot easier to ask for film, lens cleaner, Printfile negative sleeves (3 shots across per row), Analogbook.com's offerings for MF and Darkroom work that look to be nicely worked out.

I got a lot of equipment around the end of the year and not Christmas related. One equipment is film related is the Nikon N80. The rest?? $400 Tamron lens. $600 sigma 1.8 zoom. And $500 Tokina ultra wide angle. They all work on my N80 however. Over $150 on ND and CPL filters. Few days ago, I spent about $100 on the Hoya HD CPL. $100 for a CPL filter....sigh.. 82mm.

I don't want anything photographic, if I haven't got it by now after a lifetime in photography I don't need it, however a little bird has told me I'm getting a new smartphone, and a U.S. E.C.W.S. three layer Gore tex waterproof jacket.

Don’t need any more still or movie cameras or lenses. A few days ago I was able to get an unused, in the box variable ocular eyepiece for my Televid spotting scope for a very, very good price. Wife informed me that that is my Christmas present and not to be used until Dec. 25th. I think I’ll stick my recently CLAed Leica IIIc (one of very first post-war made) under the tree as well. But of course, Santa is for children and focus for the evening will be on our grandson. Adults agreed...no real gifts for each other...only fillers to supplement Santa.

Santa's bringing an Ilford Obscura pinhole camera with some 4x5 film and paper, and some Hypo-check, and another T-ring binder for this year (I store my negs and contact sheets in sleeves in binders by year, it takes about a year to fill one up.)
Oh...and a Holga 120 WPC if I'm the highest bidder!

I'm going to spend christmas in Finland shooting several rolls of Agfa CT Precisa 100 ( Provia 100F ) hopefully i'll come back with some beautiful snowy winter scenes, i'm really hyped up, i've already planned a few places where i'm going to shoot, and it should go grrreat.
Whenever the new Ektachrome starts rolling out i'll buy myself a " late christmas gift "
