Choosing a Durst: 138S or L1000?

Money is short, I didn't go. The 138s won't be sold anytime soon. I am sure it will be there, waiting for me, when I am ready.

Now I came to know about a second L1000.

I am thinking of going to the US in December or January, visit New York and check PE at GEM. I have some AA miles that are about to expire.

Then I'll just look for an L1200 on Craigslist and have a friend from NY pick it up and store for me. A couple of Pelikan cases (or a really big one) should be good for bringing it to Brazil as checked luggage. I am sure it will be cheaper.

It's not everyday you can ice skate on Central Park (or Rockefeller) and take a beautiful enlarger home.

Now that what I call "a man with a plan"!
