I bought this as N.O.S., and it sure looks and acts new. The only real mark is on the body cap, and I probably put it there. It's been film tested and works just fine. The lens is a 35-70, f3.5 f4.6 macro lens that will focus very closely, and everything is in tip top shape (new). Polarizer w/ case, flash, manual, strap, etc. The viewfinder is brighter than any K mount camera I've owned and the film advance is smoooooth. This was the 1st time I've had a new camera, and there's a big difference in how it feels in your hand.

This is sort of like a Pentax MV in that it's a basic AE camera, but a little bigger and has more options. It's roughly the same size of a Canon AE-1. There's P and A modes, as well as the usual shutter speeds on the dial. I was shooting a non Pentax lens w/ an adapter along w/ my Pentax M 50 2, and it did a good job on the exposures.

There's only 2 things that need mentioning. This was stored for a long time, and the glue that holds the knurled rubber on the lens focus has lost some of it's grip. It still holds onto the rubber but will slip if you push it in the wrong direction. It may fix itself, or the knurled rubber ring may need to be pushed down a little and a spot of glue applied. The other thing isn't much, but the shutter sound is not exactly noisy, but noticeable in doors. I've had louder cameras, this is just something I'm real fussy about. The camera store folks thought it was just the sound of the shutter, no big deal.

A nice kit for someone who wants to learn a little about film and not worry about an old camera breaking, or a new backup K mount body w/ a lens, fltr, etc. US sale please: $84.00, incl priority mail shipping + a mystery roll of Kodak 400 color film that came w/ it. Paypal, money order or check, that's all OK.
