hi tomc
you might also find hc110 at b+h in nyc. they have a lot of everything ..
if it doesn't have to be hc110 ...
sprint systems sells their developer-stop-fix-fix remover
right off of their website. its liquid and easy to mix ( 1:9 ), and schools have been using this foolproof chemistry since the 70s. http://sprintsystems.com
Thank's all for the replies. I was trying to locate it locally because I didn't want the issues & cost of shipping liquid chemicals. I guess i'll have to order a powdered developer and mix it. I'll order form one of the apug supporters
tomc, I know how you feel about the cost of shipping, etc., but I do have (at least) one (somewhat) local place here in Tampa Bay, and it's cheaper to get HC-110 (and everything else) from Freestyle, including shipping. The price in the local shop is almost double Freestyle's price.
B+H won't ship HC-110, but Freestyle will, and the shipping cost is cheap, because it has to go via ground.
Kits and liquid chemicals are super hard to find locally now-a-days. Even with the reassurance of film photography the last few years, self development has become more and more niche. Unfortunately, like kirks518, found a few local places here in Dallas trying to price gouge unsuspecting college kids.
Freestyle in Los Angeles seems to have become THE photo chemical shop these days. Great website/e-commerce and customer service. If you're ever in Dallas, the guys at Don's Used Photo are great. That's usually where I get my b&w developers but Freestyle has all the stuff they don't carry (Rodinal, Color C-41, RA-4, etc)
Thank's Guy's. I'll probably hit up Freestyle. I'll also be ordering C-41 in the future. Got the film bug lately, and found about 20 rolls of unprocessed B&W and Color film in my desk. Ive heard Palm Beach Photographic in West Palm Beach may be stocking some Chem. but I have not made it up to them yet.
