Hi,

Disclaimer: I am not connected with this Leica shop in Hamburg, I have purchased many items there, and always I got top service, but I don't have any benefit from this post.

Right now there are many interesting offers in used cameras section:

Ugly but working M5 for 200€ --> Dead Link Removed

Very ugly but working M2 for only 125€: Dead Link Removed

Many lenses under 100€, some as cheap as 35 €... if you know how to clean lens, this is a good opportunity...

Please, check before posting.

M2 was listed as "distance meter dejustiert". In English it means RF is toasted. Somebody seems already purchased it, I hope, this person will not face 500 Euro bill to have RF unit replaced.
Leica is the rangefinder camera and if rangefinder is not working correct, it is cheating to list or describe it as working.

Non M2, not M5 were in ugly condition (you have to see my serviced multiple times due to use M4-2 for it), they are both in non-working condition. M5 has damaged advance lever and who knows where to find it now and at the price which is not 300 Euro.

I've been buying Leica and RF gear for sometime now. If it is listed cheap, here is the reason. But many people still get fooled.
If old (and especially Leitz) lens is listed bellow market average price it is often not for cleaning, but has fungus damage and or separation.

Best regards, Ko.

It is not about translation and returning on their site. It is about posting here on this site as working and cheap, while it isn't working and it is not cheap to fix.

Thanks for posting, Darko. Interesting pieces.

That M2 would be ideal for somebody using wide angles that are zone focus only. Like a cheap/ugly version of an M1 or MD.

That is assuming the film transport and shutter/shutter curtains are ok.
I have found that to be a very big assumption with cameras where other parts are trashed on them.
