The only time that synch speed becomes an issue is if I want daylight fill flash. In low light scenarios that is not a concern. In fact, the only time shutter speed even enters my mind is when I set it at the beginning of a shoot.

Or if you come inside and forget to set it. Nothing worse than half exposed photos.
Blame it on the lab, that's what everyone else does.
