Hi Guys-
I know that you get what you pay for but...I have a fair amount of E-6 that I would like to have developed and scanned. It's not overly critical and I want results with scans that could at least print to 5x7. Thanks.

Talk to your lab, they will know what their scans are capable of.

Northcoast Photographic Services offers scanning at the time of processing. Their budget scans (6MP) run $5 per roll in addition to the developing charge. I've never had them do E6, only C-41. Good quality scans and great service.

I don't have a recommendation for you (my lab does excellent developing, but the scans can be a bit pricey), but I can say that the minimum resolution you will need to produce a good 5x7 is 2268x1512, or 3.4 megapixels.

I talked to Clark, who as far as I have heard on APUG goes to Dwayne's for E-6 and the service is 3.95!

I know they do K-14, as that is my preferred method for sending it out. It comes in the Dwayne's standard mounts, and only costs $3.95+ $1.75 shipping. However, they can't scan slide film.

I know they won't scan. Half the battle. I think I'll just suck up the $19 for Develop and Scan most places are looking for.

Well, you could always get it developed cheap, look at them on a lightbox, and have them scanned and printed as necessary. Might be cheaper in the long run, especially if the roll is marginal.

Dead Link Removed

$5/roll for developing E-6 35mm, 120 or 220

might want to call them for a quote on scanning though in addition to processing

they're an awesome lab, I send my film to them, and have had nothing but 100% great results!

I think I'll give Clark/York a try since I know that the film will go right Dwayne's. Thanks for the replies. I'll keep Samy's in mind.
