He has a very similar style as Bruce Gilden (in face I have heard a few people call Kirk an imitator of Gilden). I found out about Charlie Kirk a month ago or so and have been observing his work throughout that time.

For those of you who do not know about Charlie Kirk, here is a pretty good documentary I found about him:

And for you guys who havent seen his work, heres a link to his Flickr:

Personally I really like his style and think his location makes his photography that much more interesting. I feel he is a little different than Bruce Gilden in the sense that Kirk seems to try to flatter his subjects and engage them a little more than Gilden. Many of Gildens photos are heavily distorted and make his subjects appear strange and almost alien-like.

Your thoughts on Charlie Kirk?

I agree, he portrays the subject in a "better" light (tho I wouldn't want my picture taken if I was puking or being arrested ). I am not a fan of Gilden but I definitely like Kirk's pictures. For me he is like a mix between Gilden and a tad bit of Araki, at least with some pictures of the women.
