I had the honor of attend to his workshop in November 1989, at Mexico City. He was a superb teacher and a kind person. He was a passionate of Mexico and of Mexicans, opposite to some "persons" that fashion weird hairdo. I have only good praises about him and his work, which I profoundly admire. I'm sad that two great photographers and teachers, him and Mary Ellen Mark, have died in such short time. Rest in peace.
