DID YOU KNOW that "Falcon" Chris Boyce of the infamous "Falcon and the Snowman" spy team used a Minox B to betray his country?

True story, and now you can own that very same (model of) camera! In fact, you can own two!!!

You don't even have to take pictures with them to impress people. In fact, with these, you can't. Put one in your pocket, casually take it out and a key moment, snap a few fake shots, and if someone says "so, when can I see the picture" just give them the same sort of look you give anyone asking you something really stupid and say "Oh, that's hard to say. Headquarters is kind of careful about that."

Or something.

A rich fantasy life of intrigue and mystery can be yours, all for the low-low price of $30, which will get you these two Minox cameras, which are really lovely, but they must be considered repair/display.

The Minox B's shutter is stuck open. May be a broken blade, may be just jammed if the little rubber bumper in there disintegrated. I dunno, I'm no repair person. Camera has a small dent on one corner, meter seems to be working fine.

Minox IIIs has a draggy shutter -- the first and second blades catch each other and sorta slide across together. It used to work great. Now it doesn't. Camera needs a simple cleaning. People who know how to do it can do it in half an hour or less. I don't know how to do it. The Interweb will tell you. It is not hard.

Also throwing in one good Minox B leather case. Really, the case alone would cost you that much on fleabay.

So, the deal: You give me $30 via paypal to my email -- summicron12000@yahoo.com -- and I donate the entire $30 to Catholic Community Services, which runs a food bank here in Ogden feeding several thousand people a month.

I mail you both of these cameras, at my expense. You get two cameras and a case (plus whatever other junque I have laying around that will fit in the box -- you will be surprised) and the warm feeling of having helped the poor during the holiday season.

You can verify that I donate this money by calling CCS in Ogden, 801-394-5944, and asking for the director, Marci Valdez, who will vouch for me. Or call me and grill me. Love to chat!

First money gets them. Thank you most kindly,
