The Olympus Pen F is, let's say this right up front, a really fun camera.

It's cute! I mean, look at it... Tiny, stylish, modern and yet classic! The mechanics of the thing (sideways mirror, circular titanium rotating focal plane shutter) are beyond fascinating.

Potential significant others dig it! Last time I had one of these out in public numerous female types stopped to admire it, really. You could have a fun day just hanging this sucker around your neck and wearing it to the mall.

But wait! It also TAKES PICTURES! Really!

Did you know Leica wants $5,000 for a camera that ONLY SHOOTS IN BLACK AND WHITE? This costs a LOT less and shoots in glorious color or glittering black and white. Your choice!

Having said that, this particular sample of the venerable Pen F, being sold to feed Ogden's hungry this holiday season, does have a couple issues. Hence, the low-low "get this outa here" price. It's for a good cause, but we gotta be real.

Note the black tape on the front. This hand-crafted piece of industrial strength, archival-grade, gluten-free adhesive very stylishly covers a hole where the self timer lever used to be.

Where is the lever? I have no idea.

Frankly, the self-timer lever on a Pen F is ugly, with the feel of an afterthought add-on. It distracts. You do all your selfies with a cell phone anyway.

The re-wind knob is complete except that the little fold-out crank is missing the knob. I like to think this makes it more aerodynamic.

And finally, the lens mount has a kind of wave to it -- I have no idea why, but it is not perfectly flat. The lens mounts and focuses, the whole thing works, I have actually shot very nice pictures with this camera. There is no evidence that the body was at any time harshly smacked against something hard. It works just fine, even the slow speeds.

Still: Wave on lens mount. Perfect focus in all situations not guaranteed. But is anything in life certain? It seems to be slightly bent up on once side. A handy person could take the mount off, bend it flat, reinstall and away you go.

I have no idea if the meter in this work. Never tried it. Meters are so last-century.

The lens is wonderful. I mean, just wonderful. KEH wants $50 for a lens exactly like this one.

So what do I want? How does $50 for the whole thing sound? This includes my paying for the shipping to you in the CONUS and, as always EVERY DIME OF THE $50 GOES TO THE CATHOLIC COMMUNITY SERVICES FOOD BANK IN OGDEN, UTAH.

This bank serves several thousand people much-needed food every month. It is run by good people I personally know, all of them grossly underpaid with no benefits. I was there yesterday and it was chillingly obvious they don't even waste much money paying the heating bill. All their money goes directly to help the poor. I took them $100 yesterday and am anxious to take more.

So, Deal? First money gets it. My paypal is:

summicron12000@yahoo.com

That's also my personal email. Feel free to write, chat, whatever.

Thanks for looking,
