I saw some 4x5 color pictures using Super Angulon 90mm f/8 (chrome version) shot by a friend over the weekend. The feel (light falls off at the corners) is very appealing to me. My Grandagon f/6.8 90mm does not seem give me the same feel. Perhaps I should try using my Grandagon at wide open. Just wondering if vignetting is common to all versions of Super Angulon 90mm f/8 or it is just the older ones??
could it have been an angulon that your friend used, not a super angulon?
the super angulon i have has very vignetting / fall off and offers a lot of movement on
my view camera. i have never used a (regular) angulon, but if i remember correctly
they cover 4x5 with very little movement, and might hav fall off like you mention ...
