Getting started into this world and trying not to buy things in the dark. I am looking to buy a Beseler 45 without much luck, it is ok because I don't have the room to build a darkroom yet. I found one for $180 without the lenses. The lenses are sold separate for $80. Two of them, one Rodagon and one 150 mm Componon. Both with the boards. I little search told me Componon seems to be good. Are they worth $80?
I would say that 80 bucks isn't unreasonable if it's a componon S model. Rodagons and componon S are generally well regarded. If it is 80 for both i think it's a good deal. With that being said
if you are patient you will probably find a whole 4x5 setup with lenses for next to nothing these days. If you are in a hurry it doesn't look to be a bad deal.
good luck

The Rodenstock Rodagon alone is worth the $80 if it is in good shape. Buy the lot for $80, use them for a while and sell off the one you like less. You may not get much for it, but it will be something. Both lenses are better than good. I suspect the Rodagon will be the higher quality lens, all other considerations being equal.
