While doing some unrelated work researching rare earth elements, I came across a reference to reversal paper sensitization based on cerous nitrate developed with phenol.
While I am working my way through the original citation which is in french: A. & L. Lumiere, Compte Rendu [116] 574f (1893), I am curious if this has been realistically tried.
Cerium can be used to help stabilise emulsions and is one of a number of elements that can be used as small additions to control how an emulsion behaves.
